Stepping into the Unknown

We all like predictability.

We like to be in control and to know what will happen next or what will not happen.

This explains why we learn to count numbers, and we learn to recite alphabets. It is a mental precondition we grow with. It's good and makes life easy.

Consequently, as we grow, we usually go through the same route- apply to and attend familiar High Schools, attend the same colleges with our peers, apply for the same jobs, use the same route to work, take the same flight routes and buy the same snacks among others.

But life is not always predictable, even if you plan- life happens- something very good might happen or something not as good might happen- either way you might not have seen it coming.

Once, I was travelling to the States and had to go through Istanbul; not only was I faced with the unknown; I was constantly reminded by well-meaning folks to be careful. The more I heard of these, and the fact that I had never used that route nor knew anyone who had passed through Istanbul to the States, made me have nervous thoughts eventually. However, in spite of all the unknown, I got to the States safely. The flight was very decent and the flight service was at par with other familiar flights. In fact, when we got to Istanbul, the transit to the States was so smooth and swift that I barely got the chance to see or experience Istanbul. The next time you/I pass through Istanbul, we must take the TOUR to see Istanbul- no fears.

What am I talking about?

The unknown or unpredictability is something many of us shun, because we don’t know what will happen and we usually think something unwholesome might happen.

It is very admirable to see people who dare to go through a different route; -not the predictable, and yet still arrive at the gate of success.

A life of predictability is truly a life of boredom.

Good movies are full of edgy suspense, and a good life well lived is a life full of unpredictable episodes and a series of victories.

You are like a "Rambo" in the movie of your life; enjoy your adventures. Be as unpredictable as you ought to be, take bold steps into the unknown, make bizarre moves, take calculated steps, do what ever you need to make the movie of your life as exciting as it can be but at the end of it all make sure you succeed- whatever success means to you.

Monotony - too boring.

Predictability - too easy.

Adventure- That is it! A novel Venture worth trying.

Step into the unknown and soar like the eagle that you are!
